18th Travelling Docudays UA in Vinnytsia Region

On December 10, 2021, the opening of the 18th Travelling International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA in Vinnytsia Region took place at the “Misto Zmistiv” HUB.

Travelling Docudays UA is not only about documentary film screenings. It is a space for conversations about human rights, dignity, freedom, responsibility, social challenges and people’s experiences that often remain outside the focus of everyday news.

The goal of the Travelling Festival is to promote and develop documentary cinema, as well as to strengthen respect for human rights in Ukraine. This year, the festival in Vinnytsia Region will run from December 10 to 17, 2021.

Festival opening

After the official part, participants of the presentation had the opportunity to watch the documentary film “Invisible” by director Maya Martyniak. After the screening, a discussion took place, during which participants talked about the topics raised in the film and their relevance for Ukrainian society.

This year’s festival programme includes documentary film screenings, discussions and trainings on information security. During the opening, the programme of the 18th Travelling International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA in Vinnytsia Region was presented.

Prior registration is required to watch the films and participate in the events. Participation in all events is free of charge.

About Docudays UA

Docudays UA is the only international human rights documentary film festival in Ukraine and is a member of the Human Rights Film Network. It takes place annually in Kyiv during the last week of March.

After the Kyiv part of Docudays UA ends, the best films are traditionally presented in the regions of Ukraine during the Travelling Festival. This brings human rights documentary cinema closer to communities and creates space for dialogue in different cities, towns and villages across the country.
